The presentation aimed to add to the discussion about the incarceration of elderly inmates, youngsters and the mentally ill; to raise awareness to the problem and foster the reflection on some changes needed in social, justice and public health policies in some EU countries.
IPS has been invited to participate at Medicalis – 15th International Congress for Medical Students and Young Health Professionals held in Cluj, Romania, from the 15th to the 18th May.
Mr. Pedro das Neves presentation was part of the prison medicine conference and focused the “The young, the old and the fool (mentally ill) in prison. New challenges for prison healthcare in Europe”.
